June 2025 5.00We loved staying at yvottes a Place. We just needed to relax in a beautiful spot and be around friendly people. It hit all those marks and we'll come back with friends.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Alexander and his wife's charming cottage, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, Alex and his wife were incredibly accommodating and helpful, ensuring we had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage itself was cozy and well-maintained, offering everything we required for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking sunset views. Watching the sun dip below the horizon from the dock was simply mesmerizing. The location is also ideal—just a short 10-minute drive to downtown St. Michaels, where we enjoyed exploring the local shops and restaurants. The hosts truly go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome, and it shows in every aspect of their hospitality. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable retreat.
Very helpful, attentive, and was always there when we needed something. Wonderful people that like to communicate and be around to make sure you’re happy and taken care of before they go inside or anywhere anywhere else
Old time charm combined with modern convenience. Very nostalgic cottages with updated amenities. Plenty to do on site and a short drive to restaurants and the Maritime museum.
Thank you Alex for the hospitality. You and your wife made us feel very welcomed. Thank you for making my Ironman 70.3 Eagleman experience flawless. My family and I appreciated you both. Also the ice machine was perfect definitely helped my family stay cool as they cheered for me. And the dock area was beautiful as it helped me mentally prepare before game day!
We were searching a wide radius for a weekend getaway location for the three of us, and this listing on Airbnb is what sold us on this area. We only live about an hour from St. Michaels, but we never make the time to enjoy the town and the area, even though we know what a lovely and beautiful area it is. It turned out that with the peaceful setting of the cottage and the boat rental, we didn't feel the need to go into town (except for a quick bait run) until after we checked out on Sunday. We took the boat to Knapps Narrows and a handful of fishing spots. Alex and Jamie were excellent helpful and friendly hosts. The cottage is not fancy but had what we needed. The only comfy seat is the futon, so once that's occupied for the night, the kitchen chairs are are what's left indoors. As the family night owl, I was happy to lounge outside on an Adirondack chair in the cool bug-free night air. There are a number of screened gazebos, grills, cornhole, etc. that we didn't use.
Cutest little cabin! Clean and comfortable. Love the dock for watching sunsets. We didn’t get to use the firepit bc of rain but we were offered help to start it. Very nice hosts. Will be back! Short 4mi drive to town.
